PetSafe Happy Ride Compact Telescoping Dog Ramp

A route into the car without the jump.

When jumping is unsuitable and repeated lifting is difficult, a ramp can give your dog another way into the vehicle. The PetSafe Happy Ride extends from 28 to 70 inches, with an aluminum frame, textured surface and raised sides.

Check the incline at your car’s loading height and whether your dog can use a ramp as advised. You will also need room to store it and lift its roughly 14 lb weight.

Adjustable car access

Match the ramp to the car before the first trip.

The Compact ramp extends for the journey into the car and retracts for storage between stops. That balance is its appeal: the route into the vehicle and the space left in the trunk both matter. Measure the loading height and allow room behind the car before choosing a ramp.

WHAT TO CHECK FIRST

Check the car, slope and handling weight

01

Will the slope be manageable?

A higher vehicle needs more ramp length for a gentler gradient; measure the setup before buying.

02

Does it fit the vehicle?

Check the contact point, doorway and clearance, including the ramp’s 16-inch (41 cm) overall width.

03

Can your dog use it steadily?

Follow your dog’s movement restrictions and agree any assisted ramp use with the treating team.

04

Can you store and carry it?

Allow room for the retracted ramp and check that you can lift its 14 lb (6.4 kg) weight comfortably.

FIT, USE & SAFETY

Set it securely before each use

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for placing and securing the ramp. Check the contact at both ends, the surface grip and the route into the car. Stay close and use any prescribed support; raised edges do not replace assistance.

Who it may suit

Owners whose dog can use a supported ramp route and whose vehicle provides a secure fit.

AUBENORD VERDICT
