PRIVACY & POLICY
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aubenord (“Aubenord”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit Aubenord.com, contact us or subscribe to communications.
1. Who we are
Aubenord is the controller for personal data that we decide to collect and use through Aubenord.com. For privacy questions, data requests or concerns, contact aubenordhelp@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Because Aubenord currently operates primarily as an information and independent product-recommendation resource rather than a direct retailer, we generally collect limited personal data. This may include your email address and newsletter preferences when you subscribe; your name, email address and message when you contact us; and technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, security logs and cookie or analytics information where applicable.
3. Why we use personal data and our legal bases
- Newsletter and optional communications: with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Responding to enquiries and corrections: for our legitimate interests in communicating with visitors and operating Aubenord.
- Website security, fraud prevention and essential operation: for our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and functional.
- Legal or regulatory requirements: where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
4. Who may receive information
We may use service providers that support our website, email or newsletter delivery, forms, security, analytics or other technical functions. Aubenord is hosted on Shopify. Providers may process limited information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms.
Clicking a retailer, veterinary provider or other external link takes you to an independent third party whose privacy practices are separate from Aubenord. We are not responsible for how those third-party websites collect, use or protect personal information.
5. Cookies, analytics and commercial links
We use strictly necessary technologies to operate the site. Where non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies require consent, they should not be activated until the required choice has been made.
Aubenord does not currently receive commission from the retailer links used in our product recommendations. If affiliate or other tracked commercial links are introduced in future, the destination retailer, affiliate network or other third party may use cookies, pixels or similar identifiers to recognise the referral, measure activity or attribute a commission. Those technologies would be controlled by the relevant third party and subject to that third party’s own privacy and cookie practices.
We only name specific analytics or advertising providers in this policy where they are actually used by Aubenord. For more information, see our Cookie Policy and Affiliate & Commercial Links Disclosure.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Newsletter contact details are generally kept until you unsubscribe or we stop the mailing list, subject to any limited suppression record needed to respect an opt-out. Enquiry correspondence may be kept for a reasonable period after the matter is resolved where needed for follow-up, record-keeping or legal purposes. Technical and security logs are retained according to the relevant provider’s settings and our operational needs.
7. International processing
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires a transfer safeguard, we aim to rely on an applicable adequacy regulation or recognised contractual safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum where appropriate. You can contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, to receive certain data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
Your right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you may have the right to object to that processing.
If you are outside the UK, you may also have additional privacy rights under laws that apply where you live. You can contact us at aubenordhelp@gmail.com to ask about or exercise rights that apply to your personal data.
9. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
10. Children
Aubenord is intended for adults and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
11. Security
We take reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Personal data breaches
If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will assess the risk to affected individuals, take appropriate steps to contain and investigate it, and notify the ICO where required by law. Where a breach is likely to result in a high risk to affected individuals, we will also inform them without undue delay.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted here.
