There is no trustworthy single U.S. average for an IVDD emergency, MRI or surgery pathway. Prices vary by region, hospital, neurological severity, imaging, surgery, length of stay and complications. Use published hospital pricing as a reference point, then ask the centres you could realistically use for a written estimate.
A current specialist package shows the possible scale
One published package is useful context, but it is not a national benchmark and should not be applied to a different hospital or dog.
Remedy Veterinary Specialists publishes an all-inclusive IVDD package covering the initial consultation, MRI with board-certified radiologist interpretation, spinal surgery by a board-certified neurologist, overnight hospitalisation and a post-operative rehabilitation consultation.
