When a compatible rear wheelchair no longer provides all the support your dog needs, this front-wheel attachment offers a way to adapt the existing setup.
This is the Small-frame add-on, not a complete wheelchair. Loui uses a rear chair but has not used this extension; our assessment is based on Walkin’ Pets’ system and fitting guidance. Have new front-leg weakness assessed before adapting the chair.

ADD FRONT SUPPORT TO AN EXISTING CHAIR
Build on the chair you already own.
Keep the rear frame that already fits, then add the matching front assembly when four-wheel support has been professionally selected. The Small kit has its own components and fitting guide: match the frame label before choosing it.

Check which Walkin’ Wheels wheelchair you already own
1. Find the model and size of your existing Walkin’ Wheels rear wheelchair, such as Small, Medium or Large. Check your order confirmation or any label on the chair. These names refer to the wheelchair, not your dog’s breed or clothing size.
2. If you are unsure, send Walkin’ Pets a clear photo of the chair and its label. Ask them to identify it and tell you which measurements they need.
3. Ask Walkin’ Pets to confirm which front-wheel kit fits your chair before ordering. For some sizes, they will also need the wheel diameter and the length of the metal supports that hold the wheels, called struts.
4. Follow the matching assembly guide and have the full setup fitted to your dog. Check the chest and rear supports together, including any existing vest. Take your dog out of the chair to rest.
