Drymate Waterproof Dog Crate Mat | Recovery Area Liner

Keep spills from reaching the floor beneath the bedding.

When accidents or water spills soak through, changing the bedding is only half the cleanup. Drymate combines an absorbent surface with waterproof backing to protect the crate tray or floor below.

The linked liner measures 29 × 48 inches and can be trimmed to fit. Add suitable comfort bedding above it and change wet layers promptly; the liner is washable for reuse.

REAL-LIFE RECOVERY SETUP

Protect the surface underneath the bedding.

In Loui’s care area, we keep a protective layer beneath the bedding and clean washable spares nearby. Drymate’s trim-to-fit format offers a practical way to build that lower layer around the space you need to protect.

WHAT TO CHECK FIRST

Four things that made accident clean-up easier for us

01

Keep clean spares ready

We keep spare blankets, pillow covers and washable layers nearby so the recovery area can be reset quickly.

02

Layer from waterproof to washable

Use the protective liner underneath, then stable comfortable bedding and a small washable blanket on top to catch most of the mess.

03

Reset, do not rebuild

Remove the dirty top layer, clean the affected area and replace it with a clean spare rather than stripping the whole setup every time.

04

Protect the floor under the crate

On wooden floors, a flat protective layer beneath the crate can help reduce scratches when the crate moves between rooms.

FIT, USE & SAFETY

Build the crate so one accident is a quick reset

We usually put a small washable blanket over the mat and pillows so the first wet or dirty layer is easy to remove. Solids are removed promptly, urine-marked washable layers go into the washing machine, and a clean spare goes straight back in. Keep the mat flat with no curled edges, and let everything dry fully before reuse.

THE QUICK DECISION

Is it right for your dog?

Why we like it

The trim-to-fit format is the useful feature here: it lets a protective layer follow the crate or care area while the comfortable bedding sits above. Our recommendation draws on that practical layering approach.

What to know

Drymate is a low-profile liner rather than a deep mattress. We use comfortable stable bedding above protective layers, and the mat can also sit beneath the crate on wooden floors if it stays flat and the crate remains stable.

Who it may suit

IVDD and other recovery setups where accidents are part of daily care and owners want a calmer, faster cleaning routine.

AUBENORD VERDICT
