THE VEST WE USE WITH LOUI

The chest fit that made the difference for Loui.

Loui’s broad French Bulldog chest made the standard front harness difficult for us to fit consistently. This vest suited his shape better and became part of his regular wheelchair setup. Its wider neoprene body gives a different fit around the chest, with touch-fastener closures to adjust it. If you are struggling to fit narrow front straps around your dog, this is the alternative we would look at first for a compatible Small or Corgi rear chair.

Details that help you choose

Material and fastening: Neoprene with adjustable touch-fastener closures; the vest goes over the dog’s head.
Chair compatibility: For Small and Corgi Walkin’ Wheels rear chairs. “Small” describes the wheelchair family; the vest itself comes in several sizes.
Lead attachment: A D-ring lets you attach a lead. Use outside the wheelchair only when appropriate for your dog.
Sizing warning: Zoomadog says this vest runs small and advises going up a size. Send chest and neck measurements, breed and weight when ordering.

FIT, USE & SAFETY

Check the neck opening as well as the chest

Because the vest goes over the head, a chest measurement alone cannot settle the fit. The chart gives single neck values rather than adjustment ranges; ask the supplier to interpret them for your dog. Once connected, check breathing space, front-leg movement and the armpits. Ask for fitting help if the vest shifts or pulls when your dog changes position. Follow the supplied care label.
