Scruffs designed the flat sleep area to distribute the repurposed memory-foam fill evenly, giving a larger or more mobile dog deeper cushioning for long periods of rest without a high front bolster. For an IVDD dog that can comfortably manage the 12–16 cm height, that can make it a genuinely comfortable long-term resting bed.

Large: 100 × 70 × 12 cm. X Large: 120 × 75 × 16 cm. Measure the space and the step height. This deeper mattress suits dogs that can get onto it cleanly without scrambling or catching a paw.
