Measure where the support actually sits
Two measurements make the choice clearer: the space available for the support pad and the full handle loop for you. Check both below, then confirm the pad sits securely with toileting clearance during a short supported trial.

Measure usable belly space from the front of the hind legs towards the base of the rib cage, allowing clearance in front of the penis for male dogs. A narrow waist can need a smaller pad even on a larger dog.
For reach, measure the complete loop from your hand, under the belly and back to your hand while standing comfortably. At 37 in (approx. 94 cm) or less, GingerLead suggests considering its Tall option with shorter straps.
